Community Rating System

The Community Rating System (CRS) is a program developed by the Federal Insurance and Mitigation Administration to provide incentives for NFIP communities that implement more stringent floodplain standards than the minimum NFIP requirements. The CRS rewards these efforts with discounts on flood insurance premiums.

Annual Report

The Village of Biscayne Park will be participating in the National Flood Insurance Program’s (NFIP) Community Rating System (CRS) as of October 1, 2020. The CRS program rewards property owners in participating communities that implement flood management and protection activities exceeding the minimum program standards, with discounts on their NFIP flood insurance premiums.

Each year the Village is required to provide an Annual Re-Certification of the maintenance of their CRS participating CRS activities. The Report consists of a status up Local Mitigation Strategy projects (LMS) and Repetitive Loss Area analysis.
